The 2014 Michigan Farmers Market Conference was held on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 4 and 5, 2014 at the Plant and Soil Science building on the campus of Michigan State University. The conference marked the seventh year that MIFMA has hosted an event during MSU’s ANR Week. More than 130 participants attended the conference for the latest information about operating and selling at farmers markets in Michigan.
The conference included ample networking time, keynote speaker Lisa Rose Starner, the MIFMA annual meeting, 15 breakout sessions on a wide variety of topics, round table discussions and a silent auction to raise funds to support future educational events. Topics for the breakout sessions ranged from MDARD Food Safety Regulations and Licensing to Wine Sales at Michigan Farmers Markets to Water Management on the Farm and Regional Collaborations and Promotion.
One conference attendee had this to say about the conference: “The conference offered a great opportunity to network with other market managers. The sessions presented valuable information that I can take back and implement at my market.”
The MIFMA Professional Development Committee organizes the Michigan Farmers Market Conference event each year and would like to thank all of the speakers, volunteers, exhibitors and sponsors that helped make the event a success. Conference sponsors included: the Michigan Food Policy Council, the MSU Center for Regional Food Systems, MSU Federal Credit Union, Michigan Environmental Council, USDA Rural Development, Michigan Organic Food and Farm Alliance, the MSU Product Center, GreenStone Farm Credit Services, Fair Food Network and the Michigan Fitness Foundation.
Mark your calendars now for the 2015 Michigan Farmers Market Conference to be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 10 and 11 in East Lansing, Michigan.
Daily cialis maybe will be enough? The doctor told me when I started giving him money just like that. It was very happy with my behavior as not every day you will see such as I. I throw money.
