Events on the farm are becoming extremely popular and they are a great way to bring more customers to you! This workshop will focus on how to create the best type of event for your farm, how to get the word out through social media, and how to efficiently run an event.

Founded in 1978 with hard work and dedication, Stokes has become a large producer of fruit in Southwest Michigan and offers a wide variety of activities including u-pick, hayrides, group tours, baked goods, gifts, and much more. Beyond their regular activities, Stokes strives to provide fun and exciting events for their customers. Events include their Hometown Hero Weekend, Yoga in the Orchards, craft shows, Berries, Blues and Barbecue Dinner, and a 5K.

About the hosts: The Flint Ingredient Company initially started out as a front yard garden, which is now a successful farm that passionately produces natural, local food for the community. They sell their products at their store, The Local Grocer, and at local farmers markets. The Flint Farmers market has over 100 vendors with products ranging from food to arts. Their mission is to help rebuild the community by becoming the hub for a thriving, local, fresh food system.
