Year-End Food Access Meetings Scheduled

October 23, 2018 | Food Assistance Acceptance

Each year, the Michigan Farmers Market Association (MIFMA) gathers with farmers market managers and partners who work to increase healthy food access through Michigan farmers markets. Join in these meetings to share the successes and challenges of these efforts and to learn what is on the horizon for food access initiatives at farmers markets in 2019.

Who Should Attend
Program partners, market managers, market staff, and supporters of farmers markets that accept food assistance benefits.

These meetings will not provide training on how to accept food assistance benefits at farmers markets. Training on how to accept food assistance benefits will take place through MIFMA’s Market Manager Certificate Program and the annual SNAP webinar which will be scheduled for February 2019.
