Educational Opportunities Set For 2018, Registration Now Open

The Michigan Farmers Markets Association (MIFMA) has set the dates and opened registration for the following educational offerings for 2018:

Market Manager Certificate Program (MMCP)

In-person Dates:
Friday, January 19, 2018
Saturday, January 20, 2018
Saturday, February 17, 2018

Webinar Dates:
Each webinar is held from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm EST
January 22, 24, 29, 31
February 5, 7, 12

The MMCP is a voluntary program designed to encourage farmers market managers to pursue leadership skills and professional development in topics essential to market management. The full program includes three in-person sessions and seven webinars for a total of 32 educational hours. For more information and to register, visit www.mifma.org/mmcp.

MMCP Webinar Series:

Michigan Farmers Market Conference
Tuesday, March 6, and Wednesday, March 7, 2018

The annual Michigan Farmers Market Conference, themed “Cultivating Community at Farmers Markets,” will be taking place during Agriculture and Natural Resources Week at Michigan State University (MSU) in the Plant and Soil Sciences Building on MSU’s East Lansing campus. The 2018 conference is structured to meet the needs of farmers markets in Michigan and provide education and resources for market managers.
