As we all race to the end of the year, we encourage you to pause and reflect on the 2025 market season. What new challenges did you conquer? What are you most proud of accomplishing?
We’ll go first. Thanks to support from local food champions like you, MIFMA has been able to:
- Provide electronic tablets to 120+ farmers to use to accept and process food assistance programs like SNAP
- Celebrate our 20th season of Farmers Markets at the Capitol, where we educate our state decision-makers on the importance of supporting farmers, ag-based businesses, and farmers markets
- Expand the visibility and impact of coalitions that advance Produce Prescription Programs in Michigan and beyond
This is in addition to our work maintaining core professional development and support services for Michigan marketplaces, including the Market Manager Certificate Program, our annual conference, access to hundreds of written and virtual resources, and more.
It takes all of us working together to keep the Michigan local food system going. And with your help, we can keep that momentum going in 2026!
