What’s Growing Good Together?

July 1, 2026 | News

This July and August, Michigan Farmers Market Association (MIFMA) is partnering with several Michigan community-driven marketplaces to execute year two of the Growing Good Together campaign! The goal of this initiative is to solicit small, first-time donations from farmers market shoppers and supporters to build up sustainable support for local markets.  This campaign is a shared fundraising initiative, meaning donations raised are split between MIFMA and the market that solicited them.

Here’s how it works: MIFMA provides materials (including posters and social media post templates) to each participating market and manages the donation platform, which shoppers access via a QR code at the market or by visiting MIFMA.org/Good.  The donation form collects information about which market the donor supports. At the end of the campaign period, MIFMA issues each market a check for 50% of the funds raised at their market.

Growing Good Together participating markets:

  • Alpena Farmers Market
  • Brightmoor Artisans Farmers Market
  • Farmers Market at the Capitol
  • Marshall Area Farmers Market
  • Midland Area Farmers Market
  • Ypsilanti Farmers Market

Can’t make it to the market, or lost the link? You can make a donation to the campaign here. (NOTE: The donation period has ended.)

This year, there are even more ways to get involved! Look for coloring pages, stickers, buttons, and more at the market. We’re also launching a Growing Good Together Bonfire campaign. Shop limited edition apparel, including tees and tanks, through August 31 here! Every apparel item purchased equals a donation of approximately $10. (NOTE: The donation period has ended.)
