The Michigan Farmers Market Association (MIFMA) is pleased to announce that we will be hosting three on-farm field days in the upcoming growing season. These events are part of our Farm-Based Education Program and will concentrate on workforce training and education for specialty crop producers. Michigan specialty crop businesses continually maintain a substantial and varied workforce which points to the need for workforce and labor training. MIFMA aims to educate both producers and their staff on labor issues, as well as consumers on the availability, variety, and growing practices of specialty crops in Michigan.
