Each year, MIFMA gathers together farmers market managers and partners who work to increase healthy food access through Michigan farmers markets. Join these meetings to share the successes and challenges of these efforts and to learn what is on the horizon for food access initiatives at farmers markets in 2017.

This year, two meetings will be held: Monday, November 14 in Gaylord and Thursday, November 17 in Allegan. Attend one or both meetings to hear perspectives from across the state. Click here to see the Agenda

Following the meeting from 2:00 – 2:30 p.m. is an option discussion for participants on “Technology Options for Managing the Double Up Food Bucks program”.
Markets participating in the Double Up Food Bucks program are welcome to stay to participate in additional discussion about some of the challenges and opportunities with transitioning from token-based implementation to electronic incentives, including updates about existing pilots in the state and questions, ideas, and concerns about how technology meets the needs of your market, vendors, and customers.
