The Michigan Farmers Market Association (MIFMA) will be hosting a webinar entitled, Building Partnerships Between SNAP-Ed Programs and Farmers Markets.

About the Webinar:
The purpose of the webinar is to build partnerships between SNAP-Ed programs and farmers markets, creating a win-win-win opportunity for the market, the SNAP-Ed programs, and the health of the community. This webinar, and farmers market tours in August- October, will showcase how SNAP-Ed nutrition education programming and evaluation efforts work to increase consumption of fruit and vegetables in a farmers market setting.

This webinar will provide: an overview of MIFMA’s Food Navigator Pilot Program, an overview of SNAP-Ed programming throughout Michigan with a focus on programs that partner with farmers markets, an overview of food access initiatives happening at farmers markets throughout Michigan especially those in SNAP-Ed eligible areas and share the story of a current partnership between a SNAP-Ed program and a Michigan farmers market.

Who should attend?
Market Managers, SNAP-Ed Educators, and Community organizations that work with SNAP-eligible clients.

Cost: Free

Certified Market Manager can receive 1 Professional Development Hour through MIFMA’s Continuing Education Program.
