Role and Benefits
Participating Hoophouses for Health Farmers Markets serve primarily as hosts for participating vendors and families, but can help facilitate the program in the following ways:
- Assisting community partner organizations with voucher distribution and record-keeping
- Directing families to participating Hoophouses for Health vendors and helping families with vouchers
Hoophouses for Health doesn’t benefit only participating farmers and families. The program also aims to increase market attendance and awareness and use of other food assistance benefits available to families at the market.
In order for your farmers market to become a Hoophouses for Health partner, please fill out the Farmers Market Commitment Form. Please also save a copy for your market’s records. You will be notified as soon as you are approved.
