Kathy & Joe Sansonetti, owners of Sansonetti Sauces, introduce their line of high quality Michigan made gourmet food produced in their gluten free & peanut free professional kitchen. They have created a line of outstanding handcrafted artisan food products ranging from pasta sauces to mustards, barbecue sauces and salsa. Joe grills the vegetables, sautés the garlic and adds fresh garden basil to
create delicious, fresh tasting Pasta Sauces. He grills the peppers, onions & garlic for “Southwestern Style” Grilled Salsa which came in 2nd place in the Detroit News Tasting Column on roasted salsas.

Other happenings at the July 30 event, CATA Acts of Culture entertainment will take place from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. with a performance by the John Dale Smith Band. In addition, shoppers can learn to prepare their favorite fresh, seasonal produce with cooking demonstrations provided by Michigan State University (MSU) Corporate Chef Kurt Kwiatkowski throughout the day near the east steps of the Capitol Building.
The markets accept Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) Bridge Cards, Double Up Food Bucks, WIC Project, FRESH and Market FRESH, ensuring that all Michigan residents have access to the fresh, local fruits, vegetables, meats and baked goods that the vendors have to offer.
