The Michigan Farmers Market Association has developed a Market Manager Racial Equity Cohort with the mission to empower Michigan farmers market managers and food system leaders to foster greater understanding with the communities they serve by dismantling systems of oppression and implementing the tenets of the Anti-Racist Farmers Market Toolkit. The goal of the cohort is to lay the groundwork for vibrant, equitable, and inclusive farmers markets across Michigan. We are looking for farmers market managers and leaders who want to deepen their racial equity education and implement anti-racist policies and practices at their markets.
